Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Twix Sweeter than the candy bar — and a whole lot less messy! Meet Twix: one part pig, one part dog, one hundred percent irresistible. This 8 or so year young dog has sounds. We're talking snoring so loud it's hard to believe it's coming from him, tiny voiced barks, happy little oinks when you pet him, and noises that will genuinely make you stop and go "...did that just come from that dog?" Rub his belly and find out. Twix doesn't ask for much. A cozy bed, a soft blanket, a warm patch of sunlight in the yard — that's his idea of paradise. He's a leisure walk kind of guy, not a trail blazer, and he'll repay your easy company with endless cuddles and kisses. Other dogs? Completely unbothered. He does get a little smug when he's being loved on and his foster brother is watching — like, yeah, I see you seeing me — but mostly he's just chill. A little burst of play here, a nap in the sun there. Easy. He's also an incredibly easy dog to live with. Twix stays off the furniture, manages well on a hydrolyzed protein diet (Royal Canin) for his skin allergies, and takes his mild hip and back issues in stride. One quirk: he likes to chew on rocks. We're working on it. Turns out if you swap the rock for a dog toy he's totally fine with that. We think he just never had toys as a puppy and doesn't quite know what they're for yet.
