Description
Dog Breed: Boxer. 4/13/2026 Skylar II is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Skylar! I am a beautiful 2 year old flashy brindle girl that is an owner surrender due to my owner losing her job and home. I am described as friendly, active, smart, playful, affectionate, and obedient! It is said that I get along with other dogs and am playful and active with them. There are no cats in my current home so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly! There are no kids in my current home but it is said that I am kid friendly! I am house trained, crate trained, and at night I sleep in my crate! If the humans must be away and I am left alone, I react fine with no problems. When outside I do not attempt to jump fences/gates but I am curious what is under the grass and will dig to find out! I'm afraid of fireworks but love riding in the car, my plush sheep toy, treats, plush toys, and sniffing and following the humans anywhere they go! If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!

Overview:
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
