Dog Breed: Chihuahua. AS CUTE & SWEET AS THEY COME: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 10 lbs. & needs to lose some weight Hi, my name is Jester! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control with another dog friend who has already been adopted. I’m in a loving foster home soaking up the love and attention there and can’t wait to do so in a home of my very own! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I like the dog I came in with as well as the dogs in my foster home, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / I get along well with the kitties in my foster home. All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would do with other cats. / I like the kids that have visited my foster home, so if you have gentle kids who know how to properly handle a small dog, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’ve loved everyone I’ve met so far and just have the sweetest little personality! I enjoy pets, cuddles, lap time, toys, and treats, and I’m the perfect mix of playful and snuggly - I’ll have a fun play session and then be ready to curl up for some cuddle time. I’m hoping for a family who loves snuggles, has plenty of toys, and wants to spend lots of time being loved by me. I was also very well behaved for my shelter bath, showing what a good boy I am! / Energy level: 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know my name as well as the ‘sit’ command. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let’s continue my training together. / I didn’t love being in a crate when I was at the shelter, so my fosters haven’t used one with me. / My potty manners are very good on a good take-out schedule. I do some marking, but my fosters say it is easily corrected, and they will be happy to go over that with you. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love being held and will happily snuggle in close. At night, I like to burrow under the covers and cuddle up tight - it’s one of my favorite things! I also enjoy pets, lap time, toys, and treats, making me the perfect little cuddle companion. / Other than not liking to be pulled on a leash (a harness may be better) that’s attached to my collar, I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I had a good dental cleaning, so my mouth is fresh again. I need to lose a bit of weight, so I’m on the green bean diet – just ask about this so I can get back to a good weight. I’m a wonderful, friendly dog looking for the same in my new family. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
