This 2-year-old, 15.5 lb Chihuahua mix was rescued from Mexico and is full of personality packed into a tiny, fox-like frame. With her big ears and striking eyes, she turns heads everywhere she goes. Natasha is smart, eager to learn, and already knows commands like sit, stay, place, and touch. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and very well-behaved in the home—comfortable being left alone for a few hours and not prone to chewing or getting into things. Natasha thrives with structure and clear leadership. She’s incredibly loyal and forms strong bonds with her people, but she’ll do best in a home that encourages her to relax and simply be a dog, rather than take on a protective role. She can be sensitive to loud noises and new situations, so she’ll benefit from a confident, experienced owner who understands dog body language and can continue reinforcing calm, consistent routines. In her foster home, Natasha has done well with other dogs, preferring respectful companions who give her space. She’s also been curious and friendly around cats. She walks nicely on leash, enjoys staying active (previously walking 2–3 miles a day), and balances that with plenty of lounging, sunbathing, and cozy naps. She loves toys—especially showing them off—and has a playful, silly side, including her favorite hobby: stealing socks and proudly bringing them to her bed. Natasha is currently being weaned off anxiety medication as she continues to settle beautifully into foster care. Once she feels safe, she is affectionate, devoted, and happiest curled up next to you. Natasha is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog.
