Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hi my name is Tulip, and I am the prettiest flower you’ll ever see! I am a spunky puppy who LOVES to cuddle and run around, and guaranteed to melt your heart as soon as you look into my one blue and one green eye. I live with my foster cat sister and my biological sister Truffle, with whom I have such a good time playing. For your information, I’ve learned my lesson that cats don’t really want to play, so I respect her space. I do like to seclude myself a few times a day and enjoy just chewing on a bone alone. Sometimes it takes some persuading and treats (wink wink) for me to listen. I am doing well with the commands sit, go potty, and kennel. I can’t wait to find my furever home! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
