Doja is a 3-year-old, 60-pound German Shepherd who combines gentle affection with just the right amount of energy. She’s a very sweet girl who truly enjoys being around her people and would thrive in a home that includes her in daily activities like walks and car rides — two of her favorite things! Doja gets along great with other dogs and has an easygoing, friendly nature that makes her a wonderful companion. She’s also well-mannered and ready to settle right into her new home. She is crate trained, house broken, and already knows how to use the dog door, making the transition smooth for her future family. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, and heartworm negative — healthy and ready to go! If you’re looking for a loyal, loving dog who will happily ride shotgun on your adventures and then relax by your side at home, Doja might just be your perfect match. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $200. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at .saspca. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232. Please apply online at texasgreatdane/adoption-application/ ** - IMPORTANT INFORMATION - SASPCA Homeward Bound Dog Rescue and San Antonio Great Dane Rescue are 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue groups based in San Antonio, Texas. Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar. We also host additional adoption events throughout the year.
