This charming older pup is looking for a low-key home where he can truly relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like curling up on a comfy dog bed and watching movies by your side. Amelio is a companion for someone who appreciates a calm, steady presence. He enjoys the company of adults and thrives in an environment without too much hustle and bustle. While he’s affectionate in his own way, he’s not the type to be constantly picked up or fussed over. He prefers gentle companionship and quiet moments shared together. If you’re looking for a laid-back, soulful companion with a touch of old-soul charm, Amelio just might be your perfect match. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
