Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Serena , your future cuddle buddy with the cutest wiggle butt in town! This happy girl absolutely adores people and gets so excited to see you that her whole little booty wiggles with joy , it’s impossible not to smile when Serena greets you! She’s the kind of dog who makes every day better just by being in it. She does good with other dogs and has also done great with kids, making her an easy fit for so many families. Serena’s favorite place to be is snuggled up beside you on the couch, soaking up all the love and giving it right back. She’s also doing so well learning the ropes in foster care! Serena is making great progress with house training and does excellent in her crate with no accidents. She may give a tiny little protest whine when she first goes in, but settles quickly and snoozes peacefully through the night like a champ. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
