Description

Dog Breed: Chihuahua (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 450.00. Online Adoption Application Meet Princess Hi, my name is Princess, and yes… I absolutely live up to my name! I’m a 2.5-year-old Chihuahua weighing in at just 4 pounds—a tiny little diva with a big personality and an even bigger heart My foster mom calls me her “little sweet pea,” and I go just about everywhere with her. I love being with my humans and would thrive in a home where I can join in on all of life’s adventures. Car rides are one of my favorite things—I enjoy sitting up and watching the world go by like the royalty I am! I’m always on my best behavior in public, even though everyone wants to scoop me up and snuggle me (I mean, can you blame them?). I get along with other dogs, but honestly, I’d much rather be curled up in my human’s arms where I feel safe and loved. I am housebroken, but I do best on a consistent schedule to avoid accidents. I’m not a fan of crates—I much prefer to sleep snuggled up with my person. While I don’t love being left alone, I do feel a little better if I have another dog around to keep me company. ✨ Princess is: • Spayed • Microchipped • Up to date on all vaccines If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who will stick by your side and bring love (and a little sass!) into your life, I could be your perfect match Interested in adopting Princess? Overview:

The Chihuahua, a captivating breed known for its diminutive size, boasts an ancient and somewhat mysterious origin, with most theories pointing to Mexico as its birthplace, potentially descending from the "Techichi," a small companion dog of the Toltec civilization. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
