Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Zoey is an enthusiastically friendly four year old medium sized dog who is likely some kind of terrier mix. She's not shy at all with new people and is very energetic- she doesn't necessarily need someone very experienced with dogs but does need someone who can regularly exercise her more strenuously than simple walks. She seems to understand the concept of fetch and loves playing with toys. She gets along with the two dogs she currently lives with but it is unknown how well she would interact with cats. She's very cuddly and loves attention! Her human passed away and had no known relatives so she needs a new forever home. She's very attentive to the humans around her and seems to be constantly looking for a job to do so she would probably do well with agility training or as a running buddy or farm/ranch companion. We are helping Zoey's current guardian to rehome her. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with her current guardian.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
