Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Sheeba! Sheeba’s world was turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. Suddenly, she found herself in a loud, unfamiliar shelter—confused, scared, and beginning to shut down. The sadness in her eyes said it all. At 10 years old, Sheeba still has so much life and joy in her! You’d never guess her age—she’s active, playful, and loves a good game of tug-of-war or fetch. She has a fun, youthful spirit that shines once she feels comfortable. Sheeba is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and deeply loyal to her person. She forms a strong bond and will shower you with love—including the best hugs you could ever ask for. When it comes to other animals, Sheeba does best with calm, easygoing dogs and may need a little time to warm up. Once she does, she enjoys companionship—especially with larger dogs. She tends to chase smaller dogs and cats, so a home without them (or with proper separation) would be best. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Sheeba is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT SHEEBA!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
