Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Adoption Fee: 150. Sprite is a happy, outgoing puppy with a curious spirit and a love for the world around her. She enjoys watching everything going on, always taking it all in with those bright, attentive eyes. When it’s playtime, she’s all in—she loves toys, chasing after balls, and having fun with other dogs! As a young pup, Sprite is still learning what it means to be a well-mannered house dog. She is already crate trained and doing great, and she’s currently working on her potty training. With her intelligence and eagerness to learn, she’s sure to pick things up quickly. Sprite is as sweet as they come—loving, playful, and full of personality. She’s the kind of pup who will bring joy, laughter, and companionship to any home lucky enough to have her. Her journey hasn’t been the easiest. Sprite was found in a ditch with her siblings and wasn’t being properly cared for. She developed a heavy worm load, but thankfully she was taken to the vet right away and received the treatment she needed. Now healthy and thriving, Sprite is ready for a fresh start and a forever home where she can continue to grow, play, and be loved

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
