Description
Dog Breed: Dachshund / Mixed (short coat). Buster is a 6-year-old male Dachshund mix who must be neutered before adoption. His owner has moved into a nursing home so he ended up at PAHS. Buster has an all tan coat and he only weighs 23 pounds. He was very frightened when he first came to PAHS but he has settled down and made friends with our staff and some of PAHS dogs. Buster is good with other dogs but we would suggest he NOT be in a home with children. This active and playful guy can be protective of his "person". When we made his pictures he squinted in most of them because he was staring into the sun. He did manage to smile in most of his pictures. Buster would make the best companion dog for someone who needs a friend. Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75. All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under "special needs" our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
