Dog Breed: Treeing Walker Coonhound / Mixed (short coat). Cody is a small, 1-year-old Walker Hound who arrived at the shelter as a stray. During one stressful moment, a volunteer accidentally let him slip loose, and when the volunteer reached to grab him, he gave a quick, fear-based bite. Since then, he has shown no further concerning behavior and continues to present as a timid, gentle dog who is simply unsure of new situations. Ready for a calm and understanding home, Cody will thrive with adopters or fosters who can offer patience and stability as he settles in. His manageable size and sensitive nature make him a wonderful fit for someone seeking a quieter companion who needs support and time to build confidence.
