Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Freddy is a people loving dog. He loves spending time with "his" people whether it is playing, taking a walk, or just snoozing nearby, Freddy just wants to hang out with the people he loves. Freddy has a high energy level and needs at least one good walk a day. Freddy loves being outside with people. He loves playing tug of war. He loves playing chase the ball. He just does not understand the concept of returning the ball to the person who threw it. He likes playing in the water, especially a sprinkler. He often tries to catch snowflakes or raindrops. Freddy has never lost his puppy joyfulness. Freddy is very house trained. He knows he needs to go outside. Freddy has only ever had an accident one time, and that was because I got delayed at work. Freddy was so sad and embarrassed when I got home. He has passed beginning dog training and knows the basic commands. He is crate trained although he does not love going in it. He will go in with a little enticement with a treat. He loves going on walks, but sometimes he does pull on the leash. However, stopping and waiting until he stops pulling, reminds him of proper walk etiquette. Freddy is such a good dog and would do well in an all person household with somebody who can walk him and give him the love and attention he deserves. **** Breed: Wired hair Terrier **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2196525&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
