Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Meet Bowie! Bowie is an approximately 18-month-old male Lab/Pit mix weighing around 45lbs who is ready to find a loving forever home. He was found off Holden Drive in Rockwall on 4/18/26 alongside two other dogs believed to be his siblings and was never reclaimed. Bowie is a shy but very sweet-natured boy who is still building confidence in new environments. With time, patience, and a gentle approach, his affectionate personality begins to shine. He enjoys quiet cuddle time with his people and has shown that he walks well on a leash. He would do best with a family that can provide consistency, patience, and encouragement as he continues to grow and learn. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good fit. Bowie's adoption fee is $125, which includes his neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm test. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
