Name: Sheeba Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 6 months old (as of 4/19) Best Guess for Breed: Husky Mix Weight: About 20 lbs (as of 4/19) Lives With: Dogs, cats, kids and all people! Housebroken? She’s working on her potty training and making great progress! Story: Sheeba was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. We are so happy to have her safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Sheeba is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. She knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with her humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Sheeba is just looking for someone to be her new best furend and we know that she will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Sheeba will need an adopter who is committed to setting her up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising her both mentally and physically. She will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! What my foster says: Sheeba has been doing great with her first week here. She’s a very sweet girl and everyone who has met her falls instantly in love! Like most puppies - she loves shoes and finding things to nibble. However, she’s quickly learned “no” and “off”. She didn’t seem to know any commands earlier this week but she can now reliably “sit” - so she’s a quick learner! She loves being around our resident dog and is usually his little shadow. She is fairly active and VERY playful! Anyone who adopts her will be super lucky to have her! The fee to adopt Sheeba is $475. That covers the cost of all her vaccines, her spay, the collar she’s wearing, her transport to DC and her care in her foster home. She’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.
