Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Mixed (long coat). Meet Valentino! He is a happy 2 yr old male, tripod, Great Pyrenees mix. Named Valentino because of the heart on his head. After a difficult beginning to his life, Valentino is ready to find a forever home. Shortly after SPIN Rescue pulled him from a shelter, it was discovered that he had an infection that spread into his entire body from untreated animal bites. Unfortunately, prolonged inflammation in his elbow caused permanent nerve damage requiring his leg to be amputated. But this hasn't slowed him down and he is surprisingly agile! He is good with big and small dogs. He likes to wrestle and play with toys. He has not been cat tested. Val is very friendly with people. He sometimes jumps up, so small kids will need to be supervised around him. He is house trained. He hasn't spent much time on a leash but is slowly picking it up. He doesn't like getting in the car but does well once he's in. Valentino is neutered and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $250. He is currently in a foster home in North Texas.
