Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Meet Sera Sera is a sweet little Cane Corso puppy who found herself as a stray in California. She ended up in an underserved shelter with very limited resources, where she simply sat waiting for someone to notice her. When she landed on the list, AZ Mastiff Rescue stepped up for her — and now that her kennel cough is gone, this baby girl is ready to find her forever home. Sera is around 12–16 weeks old and has such a soft, sweet personality. She is very dog friendly and will need a home with another dog to help her continue building confidence. A calm, friendly male dog would be a great match for her. She can be a little shy at first, so her ideal home would be a quieter one with people who understand the Cane Corso breed and are willing to give her patience, structure, love, and guidance as she grows. Because she is still learning and gaining confidence, a home without screaming toddlers would be best. Sera is just a baby with her whole life ahead of her. She is ready for safety, love, and a family who will never let her be forgotten again. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
