Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hi, my name’s Rose. I am a gorgeous girl with an adorable face and beautiful velvety suede coat. I was not only gifted with good looks, but I am attentive and smart too. I’m a total goofball in the best way. I love toys, playing catch, splashing in water, and wiggling my whole body when my friends talk sweetly to me. My biggest dream is simple: a family of my own to love forever. I was found as a stray, which is how I ended up at LaMancha. I’m grateful for my wonderful friends here, but kennel life without a family is lonely. I can’t wait for someone to choose me. Take me home, and I’ll smother you with love for the rest of my life. I am 2 years old. After you adopt me, I promise your new motto will be, “Dogs are my favorite people!” Please email AdoptionsLaManchaAnimalRescue to meet me, Rose. ******* 2 years old. Spayed/neutered, UTD vaccinations, microchipped, wormed. Housetrained. Please visit our website at .lamanchaanimalrescue to see all of our adoptable dogs. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
