Dog Breed: Border Collie / Shepherd / Mixed. Available for Adoption: Meet Dexter! Dexter is a sweet boy rescued from the White Mountain area who has truly come out of his shell. Though he was a bit fearful at first, he’s now one of the friendliest puppies we have. He’s incredibly loving, gentle, and impressively smart. In just a few days, Dexter has already learned several basic commands, including come, sit, down, give paw (both paws!), off, and leave it. He’s eager to please and picks up new things quickly. Dexter is affectionate and loves to cuddle. He’s well-mannered, obedient, and has the cutest habit of “talking back” in his own adorable way. While he enjoys playtime and has plenty of energy, he’s also great at entertaining himself with toys and is calm indoors. He is crate trained and about 85–90% potty trained. Dexter gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs, and with a proper introduction, he should do well with cats too. If you’re looking for a loving, smart, and playful companion, Dexter might be your perfect match! He has had 2 vet visits, is neutered, Microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), 2 dewormings, and a 1 fecal tests. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours 7 days a week for meet-and-greet appointments.
