Description
Dog Breed: Boxer. 4/21/2026 Rocky XIII is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Roxy XIII! I am a handsome 1.5 year old fawn boy that is an owner surrender due to my owner unable to financially care for me. I am described as friendly, active, smart, playful, affectionate, and obedient! I do not currently live with any dogs or cats but it is said that I am dog friendly! I currently live with three kids (ages 8-14 years) and am good with them! I am not house trained or crate trained and will need assistance with that in my forever home! I currently live outside and sleep in a dog house and would love nothing more than to be indoors with the family! If the humans must be away I am fine being left alone. I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates! I am scared of thunder and do not like squirrels. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, balls, bones, playing fetch, and any playtime with the humans! If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!

Boxer
A.K.A.: Deutscher Boxer, German Boxer, Dutch Boxer, Boxer dog, Boxy, Boxerman
Overview:
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
