Dog Breed: Rottweiler (short coat). Adoption Fee: 200. Hi, my name is Riley, I am a very sweet and loving Rottweiler. I am about a year old (estimated Birthday 10/05/22). I have been spayed and all of my shots are up-to-date. I am looking for a new home simply because my parents don’t have enough yard space for me, I love to be outside the majority of the day and I enjoy being in the house at night to sleep usually in the bed with my mom-I am Spoiled, I know – I am used to being fed a regiment of dry and wet dog food mixed together twice a day. I get along great with younger children and all size dogs but have not been tested out around cats yet. My mom loves me very much but realizes I need a big yard to play in which she does not have I get out from the holes under the fence occasionally but never cause any harm. Since Riley is a medium sized dog, so we like to recommend a home with a fenced in backyard and/or plans for daily exercise and socialization. Amazing Grace Bully Rescue is a foster based rescue in the Pensacola, Florida area. We do not have a physical building. Overview:
The Rottweiler is a powerful and intelligent breed, originating in Germany where they were primarily used to drive cattle and guard property. Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
