Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 550. Meet Fozzy Bear Fozzy Bear is an adorable hound/Lab mix boy with an approximate DOB in early February 2026 and a current weight of about 6 lbs. He’s a classic puppy in the best way—curious, playful, and always ready to turn everyday moments into little adventures. Fozzy Bear loves exploring his surroundings, romping with his toys, and engaging in playful interactions with other dogs. He’s friendly, social, and does great with both dogs and cats. After he’s had his fill of fun, he’s all about the snuggles and will happily curl up for some quality cuddle time with his people. Like any young puppy, Fozzy Bear is still learning and would thrive in an active home that’s home often and excited to help him with training, socialization, and routine. He’d be a wonderful fit for a family who enjoys staying engaged, getting outside, and raising a puppy into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving pup with a big personality in a tiny package, Fozzy Bear is ready to steal your heart. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
