Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 250. Meet Ray Ray is a young male puppy with a big personality and an equally adorable set of big ears. While we haven’t met his parents, we’re guessing he’s a terrier mix and expect he’ll be around 35–45 lbs when fully grown. Personality & Play Style: Ray lives life in two speeds—zooming around full of energy or fully crashed out after playtime. He brings a lot of fun and personality wherever he goes. Snuggles & Downtime: When he’s done playing, Ray is all about recharging with a good nap and being near his people. Ray enjoys spending time with both people and other dogs and would do well in a home ready to continue training, structure, and socialization as he grows. If you’re looking for a fun-loving pup with a big personality, Ray could be your perfect match. If interested. An application can be placed online at savingdeathrowdogs.rescuegroups/info/adoption

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
