Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 250. Meet Tansy Tansy is a young female puppy with a fun, spunky personality and a little bit of mischievous charm. While we haven’t met her parents, we’re guessing she’s a terrier mix and expect she’ll be around 30-40lbs when fully grown. Personality & Play Style: Tansy has a playful, slightly “devilish” side that makes her especially entertaining. She’s full of personality and keeps things fun. Snuggles & Downtime: After she’s done stirring up a little fun, she’s happy to settle down and relax. Tansy enjoys spending time with both people and other dogs and would do well in a home ready to continue training, structure, and socialization as she grows. If you’re looking for a playful pup with a little extra spark, Tansy could be your perfect match. If interested. An application can be placed online at savingdeathrowdogs.rescuegroups/info/adoption

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
