Description

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). **I am in foster currently. You can meet my siblings and I at the shelter on Tuesday, April 28th! Please fill out pre adoption application. All children under 10 and dogs in the home MUST come to meet!** Hiya! I’m Polly, an 8-week-old puppy with a tiny body and a whole lot of personality! I’m at that super fun stage where everything is exciting—toys, toes, leaves, and anything I can chase or sniff! I’ve got lots of puppy energy, so I love to play, bounce around, and then crash into the cutest little naps you’ve ever seen. Since I’m still just a baby, I’ll need a patient and loving human to help me learn all the important things—like potty training, good manners, and what’s okay to chew (I’m trying my best!). With time and guidance, I’ll grow into a sweet, loyal companion who’s always by your side.I’m looking for a home that’s ready for puppy life—the fun, the silliness, and all the love that comes with it. In return, I promise cuddles, wiggles, and a lifetime of happy memories. If you’re ready for adventures, laughter, and a best friend who will grow up right alongside you, come meet me! I can’t wait to find my forever home! From the foster: Polly was the smallest of the fosters but the most outgoing. She was the first to climb all the stairs and actually scale and climb out of the x-pen. She is the first to investigate anything new. Reaching new heights is her goal. She is working hard on her potty training and if taken outside 15 - 20 minutes after eating, she will usually poop outside. Her bladder is tiny but we she will potty outside. Polly has a `nose` for smells - especially food. She can find kibble from a distancem Maybe scent work could be in her future. Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love. Before you plunge into puppy parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a puppy, but there are also many requirements. Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. Your puppy’s adoption fee includes: - Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella) - Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer) - Spaying or Neutering - 24-Petwatch Microchip Adoption fee: $235.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $11.30. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$9.30) All dogs come with free leash and collar.
