Description

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). **I am in foster currently. You can meet my siblings and I at the shelter on Tuesday, April 28th! Please fill out pre adoption application. All children under 10 and dogs in the home MUST come to meet!** Hi there! I’m Dot, an 8-week-old puppy with a tiny name and a BIG personality. I’m just starting my journey in this big, exciting world, and everything feels like an adventure—your shoes, that squeaky toy, the mysterious corner of the room… I want to explore it all! I’ve got lots of puppy energy, which means I’m always ready to play, bounce, and zoom around until it’s suddenly nap time. Because I’m still a baby, I’ll need someone patient and loving to help me learn the ropes. I’m talking potty training, good manners, and figuring out what’s okay to chew (I’m working on it, promise!). With the right guidance, I’ll grow into a well-behaved and loyal best friend. What I really need is a home that’s ready for all the fun and a little bit of chaos that comes with puppy life. In return, I’ll bring nonstop entertainment, lots of cuddles, and a whole lot of love!If you’re looking for a playful sidekick who will grow up by your side and fill your days with joy, I might just be your perfect match. Come meet me—I can’t wait to wiggle my way into your heart! From the foster: Dot’s idol is Adele. He wants to be a professional singer one day so he practices his vocals OFTEN. He may be small, but he is mighty. He gets VERY jealous and turns himself into a certified weapon if he feels like he has to compete with other dogs for your attention. He likes to be picked up and snuggled, if he is not for even a moment he starts screaming Carmina Burana as loud as he can. Probably best being the only dog in the house, but does very well with humans of all ages and sizes and abilities! (I am sure he could be in a home with other dogs and get used to them, but they should be aware that he can get feisty.) Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love. Before you plunge into puppy parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a puppy, but there are also many requirements. Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. Your puppy’s adoption fee includes: - Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella) - Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer) - Spaying or Neutering - 24-Petwatch Microchip Adoption fee: $235.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $11.30. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$9.30) All dogs come with free leash and collar.
