Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Oneday is as sweet and gentle as her name suggestsâa soft-hearted girl whoâs happiest simply being close to her people. With her calm, easygoing nature and submissive personality, she brings a quiet kind of comfort wherever she goes. Oneday has spent her life alongside her companion, Toodaloo, and while they donât necessarily have to be adopted together, they do share a special bond and truly enjoy each otherâs company. We would love to see them find a home together if possibleâbut more than anything, we want both girls to land in loving homes where they can thrive. This lovely girl is all about affection. Sheâll patiently sit in front of you, inching closer and closer, just hoping for a few extra pets. She doesnât demand attentionâshe simply melts into it. Oneday appears to be potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows the cue âsit.â She hasnât quite discovered the joy of toys yet, but she does enjoy enrichment activities and peaceful strolls outdoors. She has not shown any reactivity toward other dogs and seems to really value canine companionship. Because of this, we think sheâd do wonderfully with a dog friend in her new homeâand weâre always happy to help arrange meet-and-greets prior to adopting! Onedayâs gentle, loving nature is truly something special. If youâre looking for a calm, affectionate companion who just wants to be near you, she might be your perfect match.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
