This sweet, affectionate pup is the definition of a cuddle bug and would happily spend her days curled up beside her favorite person, soaking up belly rubs and snuggles. Bertha is house-trained and does wonderfully in her crate. In fact, she’ll often put herself in her crate when she’s ready for a little quiet time. She’s not much of a barker and is an easy dog to live with. When Bertha loves you, she really loves you. She greets her people with hugs, nudges your hand when she’s ready for scratches, and wants nothing more than to be close to her family. While she can be a little timid when first meeting new people, she warms up quickly and becomes a devoted companion. Bertha gets along well with other dogs and has a naturally submissive personality. She walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and enjoys being included in whatever her people are doing. A grazer at mealtime, Bertha prefers to eat in the comfort of her crate where she can enjoy her food undisturbed. She also has a funny little grumble when someone interrupts her cuddle time—a charming quirk that perfectly captures her love of comfort and affection.
