Description
Dog Breed: Golden Retriever / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $525-$650 + MN tax. *** Foster Home Needed*** We are seeking a foster home for Ezekiel (Zeke), a local owner-surrender dog that needs to come to rescue. Could someone foster him, so we can say, "Yes?" Maybe someone out there understands this breed, and/or can keep him somewhat active, or outside often, etc. stimulate him, for greater contentment? Please read below and let us know if you can, or please share! redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups/forms Zeke is a 5.5-year-old, 20 lbs, mini-Goldendoodle. Zeke loves to chase squirrels, bark at squirrels and delivery people, and play tug. He likes chasing after balls, frisbees, and sticks that we throw for him, but he does not like giving them back. As you can see from some of the photos, Zeke is great with cats. He's spent some time with other dogs and I think he'll acclimate to another dog who isn't aggressive with him. He can guard food and growl and has nipped at our kids when they're trying to put him in the kennel at non-mealtimes, though he is kennel trained and normally has no issues with his kennel, voluntarily going there when he senses we're getting ready to leave. Zeke has become very anxious at the groomer and they're now refusing to groom him without medication. He's very high-energy, pacing indoors and always wanting to be on the other side of the door, no matter where he is, though can happily spend hours outside in nice weather. He's a very vocal dog, barking and whining frequently. Overall, he's a lovable, intelligent dog who enjoys people and playing, and will be great with people who would like to put effort into training him to fulfill his potential. redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups/forms If you would like to learn more about Ezekiel, please submit an interest form on our website: redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups *Adoption fees range from $525-$650, depending on the individual animal* redemptionroad.mngmail .facebook/RedemptionRoadRescue All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (8 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention. *Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.*

Breed overview
Overview:
The Miniature Goldendoodle is a charming designer breed, a delightful cross between the gentle Golden Retriever and the intelligent Miniature Poodle. Originating in the late 20th century, primarily as a hypo-allergenic guide dog, they quickly gained popularity as beloved family companions. Physically, they are compact and sturdy, typically weighing between 15-35 pounds and standing 13-20 inches tall. Their coats can range from wavy to curly, and come in various shades of gold, cream, apricot, and red, often shedding minimally, making them a good option for those with allergies. Temperamentally, they are known for their friendly, affectionate, and playful nature, inheriting the best traits from both parents – the Golden's loyalty and the Poodle's cleverness. This makes them highly trainable and excellent with children and other pets, proving suitable for both active families and those in apartment settings, provided they receive adequate exercise. While generally healthy, potential health concerns include conditions common to their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, and certain eye conditions, emphasizing the importance of responsible breeding. Their adaptability and loving disposition make the Miniature Goldendoodle a wonderful addition to many homes.
