Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). #A5768990 Valentina -3 years old spayed female -Pitbull mix, brown -Stray intake -53 lbs on April 20 -Microchipped & vaccinated Say hello to Valentina, a beautiful girl with a soft heart who is feeling overwhelmed in the shelter. At just 3 years old, she has already been through a lot, including having multiple litters of puppies, and now she deserves a chance to just be loved. -Shy and timid at first -Easily startled in busy environments -Very sweet and affectionate once comfortable -Gentle and sensitive -Walks nicely on leash She needs a calm, patient home where she can decompress and feel safe. A slow, gentle approach will help her build trust, and once she does, her loving personality really shines through. An adult-only home is recommended so she can settle in peacefully. Valentina isn’t a difficult dog, she’s just a tender one who needs kindness, consistency, and a quiet place to land. If you can offer patience and a peaceful home, Valentina will reward you with deep, loyal love. ✨ VALENTINA’S VIDEO: youtube/shorts/iBz15HXc5Ls For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaaunitedhopeforanimals ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
