A FTA contract is required. spay appt pending Surrendered by her owner to BARC animal shelter to be killed because they didn't want to seek medical care for her after watching her be hit by a car. We immediately pulled this little girl into rescue and a quick trip to the vet with xrays reveals no broken bones. Some minor soreness and a broken heart was all she was suffering with. They said her name was Casanova. We decided she would never hear that name again. Cassie still suffers from emotional trauma. She feels safe in her crate. She seeks it and desires it. She till tolerate love and attention, but is terrified of someone taking her from her crate. She is in the home of an experienced foster who is helping her overcome her PTSD. She still screams occasionally, but recovers once she realizes she's safe. Foster notes: she's definitely not good at sleeping w people.. she's too hyper and starts walking around etc.. she always look for her crate.. once she gets there, that's when she growls at the world.. you take her outside, she is all friendly and nice and don't growl or anything at all.. her "bites" and growls aren't dangerous.. she also goes on her own to potty if there is a doggy door.. she is weirdly trained.. she goes outside if she has access outside.. if not, she will go in front of the door. She's better alone.. she get along w other dogs if set loose but she doesn't like to play or anything. She's a loner.. her cries is just how she is.. she seems like she will not stop.. she randomly cries but is mostly because she wants to go potty or wants to see a person she can growl to from her crate.. outside of it, she stops or doesn't do it at all.. lol she's something else! She doesn't like to be taken outside and left alone outside for potty.. she will cry.. if she goes on her own, she doesn't.. she just goes and get back on her safe place.. she is all about safe place.. That's the only place she gets cranky.. she don't want anyone near it. nothing wrong with her.. her new owner needs to understand she cries like she's been murdered but she does it to get the owners attention.. her murder cry is just her crying

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
