Dog Breed: Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed. YOUR ACTIVE & FUN BEST FRIEND: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 33 lbs. Hello – I’m Fiona! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so glad they did. I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot! I was adopted for a little over a month, but our energy level wasn’t a good fit and I was a bit much for the senior dog. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I’ve met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts. I did fine with the male dogs and the females that were around my size or smaller than me, and I also liked playing with a 6-year-old female beagle in my temp. foster home. I can be a mouthy player, so – if you have a nice doggie at home that wouldn’t mind this style of play, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / I did well with a 12-year-old girl in my temp. foster home, and my former adoptive family reported that I liked the kids I met while I was with them, though I don’t recall their ages, so let’s meet and best no very young kids that I may bump over and because I’m playfully mouthy. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a super sweet and lovable girl with a fun and playful nature. My fun expression and attentive, adorable stance let you know I am ready for the next adventure! I’m delightful, very active and I was a happy pup for my shelter baths, though I was pretty mouthy at first – thinking it was a game, but I have learned to settle in. I am a playful pup as well as a friendly and focused girl. / My energy level is 8-10 so I will need my furever family to give me plenty of exercise and continue my training. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping, and I even know the fun command ‘shake’! Top of my class! I’m working on my playful mouthiness with my trainer where I’ve made great progress on correcting this behavior. I’m a smart gal who is eager to please and loves learning. I’ll do best with a family who can keep things consistent so I can continue to learn and thrive, so let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. In the prison/foster training program and in my temp. foster homes, I would whine in there at first, but settle down after a few minutes. / My potty habits were good in the prison/foster training program as well as in the temp. foster homes I visited. I did have some accidents in my temp. adoptive home, though not a lot. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I’m always ready for a play session and especially like running outside in the yard and playing with balls. I’ve not quite mastered the fetch game yet, but I will give up the ball easily so the game can continue! I enjoy all the attention and belly rubs that I receive from the nice volunteers. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. You may notice that my ears are a little thicker than some dogs which is from previously untreated ear infections, but I’m doing well now. I am looking for a home where I will be a much-loved member of the family for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
