Complete an application at .carolinapoodlerescue/application Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC Weight: 7.5 lbs Height: 6 in Spayed/Neutered: No Adoption Fee: $499 Fence needed? No Want To Know More About Me? Text Dani to 864-441-9075 for an application (all we know about Dani is here in this description as of now) or go right here: .carolinapoodlerescue/application Here's Your Quick Peek: If projects came in 7-pound packages, Dani would be the poster child. Raised in a breeding facility with too little human contact, this beautiful maltese is still figuring out what life is all about as a pet. She is as timid as they come. Underneath it, a sweet demeanor just waiting to blossom. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: .carolinapoodlerescue/application/ Must have: A small, confident dog in her home and a patient, experienced owner Exercise: Medium Best with: Dogs - Dani prefers dogs to humans. She is still figuring us out. Not ideal for: Homes with young children, lots of visitors or frequent travel. Energy level: Medium Dani is a dog's dog. She needs them. She will not be placed in a home without them. She is also going to take time. And patience. And routine. And space. She has so much potential and needs someone that sees it. Good with dogs: Yes - she needs them Good with kids: Dani has never lived with kids. Maybe she could - but they'd need to be at least teenagers, have grown up with dogs, and give her time and space to build comfort and trust. Cats: Unknown - Dani has never lived with cats. If you have one, let us know and we'll test her. Fun fact: We believe Dani has top notch cuddle potential, it is just going to take time. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them. Overview:
The elegant Maltese is a delightful toy breed renowned for its captivating beauty and charming personality. Originating from the island of Malta, these ancient dogs were once favored companions of European nobility. Physically, they are characterized by their single coat of long, silky, pure white hair that gracefully drapes over a compact, well-proportioned body, typically weighing between 4-7 pounds. Their expressive dark eyes and black button nose add to their adorable appeal. Temperamentally, Maltese are known for being affectionate, playful, and intelligent, making them highly trainable and eager to please. They thrive on human companionship and are generally excellent with children and other pets, provided they are socialized early. Their small size and relatively low exercise requirements make them ideal for apartment living and suitable for families of all types, including first-time dog owners. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of common breed-specific concerns such as dental issues and luxating patellas.
