He may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he becomes your little shadow—always wanting to be close to his people. Whether you’re working at your desk or relaxing in the evening, Tater will happily curl up beside you (or in your lap if you let him!). Snuggle time is easily his favorite part of the day. Tater sleeps well in his crate through the night and enjoys using it as his cozy daytime hangout, too—just leave the door open so he can pop in and out as he pleases. When morning comes, he’s ready to start the day and will definitely let you know it! Like most puppies, Tater is still learning. He’s about 80% house trained, working on leash skills, and hasn’t quite mastered the doggie door yet. He’s also in his playful, chewy, and slightly nippy puppy phase, so he’ll thrive with continued training, structure, and plenty of appropriate toys. And when it comes to food—Tater is very enthusiastic. He loves mealtime and doesn’t quite understand when he’s full. If given the chance, he’ll happily finish his meal and then go searching for anyone else’s food nearby! Because of this, he does best with monitored feedings and a consistent routine. Tater gets along great with other dogs and enjoys their company. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet. He’s good with kids, though supervision is recommended while he’s still learning his puppy manners. He also travels well in the car when crated. Tater is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. His adoption fee is $350. A refundable training deposit of $100 will be also due upon adoption. Training must be provided in a timely fashion to ensure our pups become the best canine citizens. The training deposit will be refundable within 3 months of the adoption date. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and entertaining little pup to grow with your family, Tater might just be your perfect match! All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to .secondchancedogrescue and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.
