Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Currently located at our Chrisney, IN location Foster Needed for Crème Brûlée Crème Brûlée came into our care alongside 12 other dogs, scared and unsure of the world around her. Everything was new and overwhelming, and she needed time to feel safe. Thanks to patience, love, and plenty of TLC from our staff, Crème Brûlée is beginning to blossom. This sweet puppy is gaining confidence more and more each day, showing her gentle nature and learning that people can be kind. Watching her come out of her shell has been truly special. Crème Brûlée would thrive in a foster home where she can continue to build trust at her own pace. A calm, loving environment will help her keep growing into the happy, confident pup she’s meant to be. If you’re ready to make a life-changing difference for this deserving girl, please submit a foster application at ITVrescue All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
