Yogi is an adorable terrier mix boy with an approximate DOB in early February 2026, and he’s a classic happy puppy with a big heart and an even bigger curiosity about the world. He’s playful, social, and always ready to jump into whatever fun is happening around him. True to his puppy nature, Yogi loves to explore, play with toys, and romp around with other dogs. He does great with both dogs and cats and enjoys being part of the action. When playtime winds down, Yogi is more than happy to settle in for cuddles and quiet time with his people. Yogi would thrive in an active home that is home often and excited to guide a young puppy through training, socialization, and everyday adventures. He’d be a wonderful match for a family who enjoys staying engaged, getting outside, and raising a puppy into a confident, well-rounded adult dog. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
