With those classic floppy ears and soulful eyes, she’s equal parts playful pup and snuggly companion. She’s a happy, affectionate pup who lives for belly rubs and attention. River loves to play and absolutely adores kids. She gets along with most dogs and even some cats (though she can be a little picky about her feline friends). River has quite the taste for snacks—apples, bananas, cantaloupe, watermelon… you name it, she’s probably a fan! She even thinks chewing on ice is a treat, which just adds to her quirky charm. Don’t let the laid-back basset reputation fool you—this girl is full of spunk! She’s crate trained, potty trained (both puppy pads and outside) and already knows her basic commands. She might give you a little “do I have to?” look when it’s time for her crate, but with a gentle hand and encouragement, she’ll go right in. River is smart, eager, and just needs the right home to channel all that energy into fun and love.
