Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Are you ready to have a fiesta?! Well look no further than THIS party puppy- meet FIESTA! Fiesta is a four-month-old female Terrier mix, adoptable through Chi Town Rescue. Fiesta came to our rescue with her mama, Maraca (also adoptable!). They were originally rescued by Huesito's Rescue in Hermosillo, Mexico. We help out Huesitos Rescue from time to time when they are over-crowded, and a portion of each dog's adoption fee goes directly to that rescue. Fiesta is a typical puppy, full of energy, love, and kisses. She is always happy to meet a new friend and will soon be hopping all over you for pets and attention. When she's not getting cuddles, she loves to play! Chasing toys, zooming after her play pals, and following mama Maraca around, are just a few of her favorite things to do. Remember that while puppies are cute, they are also work! Please make sure you are ready for the commitment of adopting a young dog. Puppies become adult dogs and are meant to be loved for their whole life, not just until they grow up. Puppies will need lots of patience to help them learn their best doggy manners, leash-training, and house-training. Fiesta's adoption fee is $500 and includes spay surgery, vaccinations up to date including Rabies certificate, and microchip. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
