Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Our Adorable Terrier Mix Puppies! These sweet puppies: Loretta, Gloria, Wheezy, Ace Ventura, Mr. Cow, Chester, Po, and Lynard are about 7 weeks old and weigh around 5 pounds each. They come from a loving mom, a terrier mix weighing about 40 pounds. While we don’t know their dad's size, these little ones are full of personality and promise to be wonderful companions. Each puppy is ready for a forever home where they will be loved and cherished. They are full of playful energy and curious spirits, perfect for families or individuals looking for a small to medium-sized dog with a big heart. If you’re interested in adding one of these precious pups to your family, please reach out! They are eager to meet you and start their new adventure. Po is up to date on vaccines and has been treated for puppy parasites. Wag On Inn will arrange for spay/neuter and microchip at 5-6 months of age at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. Their adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
