Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Cammy, a Heinz 57 of sorts. Best guess is maybe yorkshire terrier with corgi, she’s got the yorkie look and hair and the corgi body. She is about 1year-old. She is crate trained, 99% house trained. She gets along well with other dogs, she wants to play with cats but the cats are not interested, she is not mean to the cats at all. She loves toys and loves to sleep in your bed! Cammy does need an understanding human, that will give her a couple days to a couple weeks to get really settled in her new home. A home with older children or no children would be best. She is not mean at all, but small children may make her nervous. She would thrive with other dogs in the home as well. Her current foster home consists of older children, several dogs, cats that live outside and livestock. She does wonderful at her foster home so it isn’t that she needs anything super special. She just needs someone that will give her some time to settle in and be the sweet, playful, bouncy girl that she is. Cammy is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations and micro chipped. The adoption fee for puppies under 6 months of age is $265. If the puppy is too young or small to be fixed there will be a $75 spay/neuter rebate form provided. They currently have at least 1 puppy shot,, flea preventative, heartworm preventative and are microchipped with lifetime registration ($13). A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
