Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed. Meet Bella and Benny, a sweet pair of approximately 4 yr old, 55 lb. female/male goldendoodles. These siblings find themselves in need of a new loving home because the only owners that they have known have medical needs that no longer makes them able to care for their beloved dogs. Bella and Benny are bonded siblings and would love to find a new home together where they can continue to thrive. Bella is slightly smaller than Benny and has a sweet and playful spirit. Benny wants to be a lap dog and loves all of the head rubs you can give although they both love to romp outdoors in the yard as well. They have grown up around children and would do well in a home with kids. Both Bella and Benny are well behaved and great companions. They know basic commands, are housebroken and crate trained. They are happy to spend the night sleeping in their crates. Bella and Benny are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines and wellness care having just been to their veterinarian in April 2026. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
