Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Tiger Lily is a silly, joyful puppy who keeps her foster family laughing with her little dances and zoomies. She has quite a serious face, but underneath, she’s all clown. She loves being held and melts right into you when picked up. She is doing great with crate training, is almost sleeping through the night, and is surprisingly quiet for a puppy-- just the occasional little yip here and there. Tiger Lily is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $350. She was born around 2/20/26 and weighed 14.75 pounds on 4/29. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at petsmpravl for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
