Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. I am urgently looking to rehome my 6-year-old spayed female dog, Maubo, due to a serious family situation—my newborn baby is highly allergic and extremely sensitive to dogs, and despite our best efforts it has become unsafe and very stressful for everyone involved. Maubo is a 75 lb white German Shepherd mix (believed), shy at first but very sweet, gentle, and affectionate once she warms up. She is crate trained, does well alone with no separation anxiety, and is overall calm in the home, though she is sensitive to loud noises like thunderstorms and trucks. She does not do well with cats and is best suited for a home with dogs her size or larger (not small dogs). She has had limited exposure to young children but has been well-behaved, is up to date on vaccines, and is healthy overall aside from a sensitive stomach (no table scraps). Pet insurance is active through the end of the year. I am truly heartbroken to do this, but I am looking for a calm, patient, and loving home for her as soon as possible where she can feel safe and secure. **** Breed: White German Shepherd **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2197435&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
