Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Terrier / Mixed. {s1550code1114/} {s1550code1111/} {s1550code1113/} I lived with my owner from the time I was a puppy but she just passed away from Cancer. I am pee pad trained. I am used to being an only dog (I do not like to shRe food or toys or treats) and was not taken out and socialized so am a little nervous around strangers and can get nippy around kids.I am looking for a quiet home where I am the only dog and there are no children.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
