Description
Dog Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hey Everyone, I’m Daisy a cute 5 year old Liver & White female Brittany looking for the right place to call home FOEVER! I was surrendered to NBRAN because I really much prefer to be an Only dog as I enjoy being able to get all the attention. Right now, I’m enjoying the good life in a wonderful foster here in Northeast Ohio but can’t wait for the day I find a family of my very own! Even though I prefer to be the only dog, I do LOVE people and am also a big cuddler too. I also enjoy snuggling on my foster Mom’s lap when she’ll let me, as I’m kind of a big girl right now weighting in at 50 pounds. I don’t mind children as long as they are older and dog-savvy. I also don’t mind cats or little bearded dragons either, as my foster Mom has both. I am house and crate trained, up to date on vaccines, spayed, heartworm negative, on prevention, and micro-chipped. I’m still working on my basic commands and walk ok on leash, so I hope my new family will have patience as I continue to learn. I do enjoy a good run in the backyard and am hopeful my new home will have a nicely fenced in yard where I can stretch my legs, as well as just hang out in. So does your home sound like the Forever Home for Me? If so, please consider filling out an adoption application for me, Daisy/OH online at: nbran/adopt/adoption-application Once your application is submitted the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here nbran/about/state-provincial-coordinators My adoption fee is 350.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like me, Daisy, back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in Ohio or close by, No Problem! NBRAN has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Brits like me, Daisy, to their new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Still have questions, Contact Ohio Coordinators Roberta Ruck at roberta.ruckgmail or Erin Kennedy at erinkennedy459yahoo or Regional Director Chris Eddinger at ceddingerverizon Thank you.

Overview:
The Brittany is a beloved and versatile gun dog, originating from the Brittany province of France in the 17th century. These medium-sized dogs are instantly recognizable by their athletic build, often appearing leggy and agile, with a dense, flat or wavy coat that comes in orange and white, or liver and white. Their intelligent and eager-to-please nature makes them incredibly trainable and responsive. Temperamentally, Brittanys are known for being friendly, energetic, and affectionate, making them excellent companions for active families. While their moderate size might suggest apartment living, their high energy levels and need for regular exercise mean they thrive best in homes with a yard or access to plenty of outdoor space. Generally a healthy breed, they can be predisposed to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, and sometimes epilepsy, so responsible breeding practices are crucial. With proper training and socialization, a Brittany will undoubtedly enrich the lives of its devoted family.
