Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type). Here he is, the Poodle mix youâve been waiting for! His name is Silver, heâs 3 years old, and he weighs 61 pounds. His foster says heâs super sweet, loving, fun, high energy, and dog friendly. And although his energy can seem a bit much at times, all you need to do is tell him to calm down, and he does! He knows âsitâ and âpaw.â Silver is a fine boy who has been treated for Heartworm and is now ready for his forever home!! How about it? ([posted 3/11/26, ME) " " Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
