Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Bolder is a handsome, medium energy boy who's ready for a fresh start. After arriving as a stray, we were able to contact his previous owner, who made the difficult decision to surrender him because they could no longer afford a dog. She had raised Bolder since he was a puppy and shared that he's done well with children in the past. Bolder walks nicely on a leash with very little pulling and enjoys taking his time to stop and sniff everything along the way. Once he's in the play yard, he's happy to trot around at his own pace, exploring all the interesting smells and taking in his surroundings. He's an independent guy who doesn't need constant attention, but he's always happy to pause for some love too. All you really need to win Bolder over is to give him some butt scratches - they're easily his favorite! Heâll turn to make sure you get the best spot, and will lean against you in happiness. He does know how to sit on command for a treat, and has done well meeting other dogs in shelter playgroups. He's a sweet, laid back dog with a quiet confidence who would love a family that appreciates his calm, easygoing nature.
