Description
Dog Breed: Sheep Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 450. Meet Angel ♥️ Angel is a sweet doodle mix puppy from our “A” litter looking for her forever family. She has been settling into foster care beautifully and already feels so much better after getting good nutrition, NutriCal, and treatment for parasites. Angel is playful, affectionate, and loves attention. She has the softest fluffy coat and the sweetest little face. She enjoys being around people and is starting to discover just how fun life can be. Her mom and dad are both doodle mixes and weigh around 65 pounds, so we expect Angel to be medium to large sized when full grown. Angel is available for pre-adoption now and will be ready to go home May 23. If you’re interested in meeting Angel, please submit an adoption application at TexasACR ♥️ We are a non-profit 501c3 Animal Rescue located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Our passion is centered around assisting animals that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused. We are a foster-based rescue consisting of 100% volunteers. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
